Bengali-English Interpreter

Responsibilities

• Answer calls in a professional manner following the Interpreter's code of conduct
• Provide accurate communication between English and Bengali speakers
• Take detailed notes during calls to ensure accuracy
• Utilize industry-specific vocabulary, particularly within the healthcare and medical sectors
• Participate in internal professional training and pursue new certifications
• Communicate and report regularly to your team leader

Requirements

• Native or bilingual proficiency in both English and Bengali
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology
• High school diploma
• High level of emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance
• Excellent listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills
• Technical setup: Mac (MacOS 10.13+) or Windows 10+ (i3/Pentium processor or better), minimum 4GB RAM, noise-canceling wired USB headset, and a stable Ethernet connection (minimum 4Mbps upload/download)

Preferred Qualifications

• Awareness of legal terminology
• International healthcare industry certifications (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA)
