Bid Writer/Technical Editor (Consultant)

Responsibilities

• Draft compelling bid narratives, concept notes, and outreach products in alignment with customer guidelines
• Ensure proposals are coherent, persuasive, technically sound, and responsive to evaluation criteria
• Collate and synthesize high volumes of information from multiple business lines into clear, articulated customer solutions
• Incorporate reviewer feedback and make necessary revisions before final bid submission
• Collaborate with Sales, Commercial, and Subject Matter Experts to develop high-quality written products
• Identify and drive improvements in bid and capture processes, tools, and procedures
• Provide mentorship and capacity building to internal stakeholders to improve overall proposal quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in bid writing and delivering high-quality external written products
• Proven experience with NATO, UN, UK, or EU government proposal submissions
• Experience working within the health, defense, medical, or security sectors
• Native-level fluency in English with exceptional writing, speaking, and reading skills
• Experience working cross-culturally and developing relationships with global stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of French, Arabic, or German
• Familiarity with donor-specific templates and complex compliance requirements
