Bookkeeping Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of offshore bookkeepers, driving high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement
• Manage performance targets across quality, productivity, SLAs, and automation adoption
• Optimize core workflows including month-end close, payroll, onboarding, and year-end processes
• Use data and reporting to identify trends, resolve bottlenecks, and elevate team performance
• Manage BPO partner relationships to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
• Partner cross-functionally with Tax, Support, and Product teams to improve the customer experience
• Increase automation adoption to reduce manual work and enable scalable growth
• Maintain strong internal controls to protect accuracy, compliance, and customer trust

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting operations
• 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring team members
• Strong understanding of S-Corp and Sole-proprietor bookkeeping
• Experience working in a high-volume, tech-enabled services environment
• Data-driven mindset with comfort using dashboards and performance metrics
• Strong process design, documentation, and workflow optimization skills
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent professional experience
