Job description

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers to guide them through the access and initiation process for rare disease products
  • Oversee the entire enrollment process including benefits investigations, prior authorization, and specialty pharmacy coordination
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for patients from enrollment through treatment initiation and ongoing therapy
  • Educate patients and caregivers on insurance benefits, financial assistance, and patient support services
  • Monitor treatment progress and proactively identify/resolve barriers to therapy to prevent interruptions in care
  • Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • 2–5 years of experience in case management, patient access, specialty pharmacy, or reimbursement
  • Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorizations, and medical benefits billing
  • Experience managing high-volume caseloads and meeting productivity goals
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in rare disease, oncology, immunology, or neurology
  • Previous experience with specialty medications
