Responsibilities

• Act as the in-house authority on CBAM embedded emissions calculation, monitoring, and reporting
• Conduct deep discovery with exporters, importers, and verification bodies (VVBs) to map reporting gaps
• Work with science, product, and commercial teams to pressure-test CBAM verification methodologies
• Support the commercial team in framing value propositions and winning first customers and VVB partnerships
• Translate technical rigor into trustworthy reports and assessments for decision-makers

Requirements

• Deep fluency in CBAM and carbon border compliance
• Technical understanding of embedded emissions methodology, monitoring plans, and covered sectors (steel, iron, aluminium, cement, fertiliser, hydrogen, and electricity)
• Expertise in carbon accounting, including direct/indirect emissions, EU ETS benchmarking, and accredited verification standards
• Proven track record of delivering CBAM declarations, verification, or compliance consulting
• High agency and ability to drive results in high-ambiguity environments
