Job Description
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the global sales, commercial & business development strategy, aligned to company growth objectives and financial targets.
- Provide strategic and operational leadership to regional and functional commercial teams, driving consistent performance, accountability, and innovation.
- Shape and implement go-to-market and pricing strategies for both existing services and emerging technologies to maximize value and market impact.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline and backlog, ensuring consistent visibility of future revenue.
- Oversee forecasting, reporting, and commercial performance tracking to support effective business management.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key clients, partners, suppliers, and external stakeholders to drive repeat business and market expansion.
- Promote the company internally and externally, acting as a senior representative in strategic engagements.
- Partner with the CEO, CFO, and Executive Management Team to align commercial activities with overall company strategy, financial outcomes, and operational excellence.
- Coordinate all commercial activities to optimise financial and operational performance across the business.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, technology, and operations teams to ensure cohesive customer solutions and delivery.
- Lead by example in promoting the company’s values, commitments, and pioneering environmental agenda.
- Build, develop, and retain a high-performing sales, commercial & business development organisation through coaching, leadership, and talent development.
- Ensure all commercial activities are compliant with applicable regulations, legislation, and company policies, and continuously improve commercial processes and systems.
- Fulfil designated responsibilities under the Emergency Response Plan.
- Support the CEO and broader leadership team in achieving strategic and operational goals as required.
Requirements
- Strong commercial acumen and deep understanding of solution-based selling in complex, technical markets
- Extensive experience in the marine, subsea, or offshore energy sectors, with a solid grasp of commercial, operational, technical, and environmental factors
- Demonstrated success in leading sales and business development activities, including strategic account growth and client relationship management
- Proven ability to develop and execute go-to-market and pricing strategies for new technologies and services
- Strong financial literacy and clear understanding of value creation in a technology-led services environment
- Effective leadership of geographically dispersed, cross-functional commercial teams
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to and collaborate within senior management teams
- Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
- Strong attention to detail, initiative, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
