Commercial FinOps Lead

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end vendor relationships for primary cloud and SaaS providers including AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, and others.
• Lead contract negotiations and renewals in partnership with Finance and Legal teams.
• Enforce procurement governance, including competitive-bid processes and approval thresholds.
• Drive commercial visibility and unit economics by surfacing licensing and usage inefficiencies.
• Build hands-on cost reporting, dashboards, and governance layers to track vendor and SaaS spend.
• Coordinate cloud efficiency programs to track optimization initiatives from commitment to realized savings.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in vendor/commercial management, procurement, FinOps, or technical/financial analysis.
• Proven track record of owning vendor relationships and contract negotiations.
• Experience implementing procurement governance, such as benchmark analysis or approval workflows.
• Proficiency in SQL and BI tools to build cost dashboards and reporting hands-on.
• Deep familiarity with cloud spend data (AWS, GCP) and SaaS billing/licensing analysis.
• Experience working effectively within async or globally distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders without positional authority.
• Experience building a commercial or FinOps function from the ground up.
