Commercial Underwriter Senior

Responsibilities

• Underwrite the entire spectrum of lending products in a timely and efficient manner
• Apply credit policies, corporate Program Standards, and minimum underwriting standards
• Collaborate with Business Development Officers to provide consultative credit perspectives
• Review and analyze new deal packages, financial statement spreads, and cash flows
• Order and review due diligence and documentation
• Analyze collateral and financial trends
• Prepare credit narratives and Credit Approval Reports (CAR) for committees
• Negotiate closing documentation with clients and legal counsel
• Mentor and train analysts and junior business development representatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Strong business acumen and customer focus
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to self-train and adapt to various IT systems
