Community/Social Media Manager

Responsibilities

• Cultivate authentic relationships with players and foster a positive, inclusive, player-first culture.
• Manage and engage audiences across Discord, Reddit, and Steam Community Hub through moderation and content posting.
• Conduct proactive outreach to fans and niche communities on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, Facebook, and Instagram.
• Plan and execute structured content calendars to support game announcements, launches, updates, and live events.
• Partner with marketing, development, and publishing teams to align community messaging with product strategy.
• Support live operations with timely communication regarding patches, updates, and community activations like AMAs and playtests.
• Monitor community sentiment and trends to surface feedback to internal teams.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in Community Management, Social Media Management, or Player Engagement within the gaming or entertainment industry.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience managing Discord and Reddit communities at scale.
• Proven track record of executing social media and community outreach campaigns.
• Experience planning and maintaining content calendars tied to marketing or live service initiatives.
• Experience supporting or moderating livestreams or community streaming programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an authentic, player-centric voice.
• Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working specifically with indie games or live service titles.
• Familiarity with community moderation tools, bots, and analytics platforms.
• Ability to analyze engagement data and translate insights into actionable growth strategies.
• Experience supporting game launches or early access releases.
• Familiarity with Steam and Twitch ecosystems.
• Background in collaborating with influencers and content creators.
