Consultant Brain Injury Medicine Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with acquired brain injuries in a government hospital setting
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Provide consultation services to other medical professionals within the hospital
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neurologists, rehabilitation therapists, and nursing staff
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment approaches accordingly
• Educate patients and families about brain injury management and preventive care
• Contribute to the development of clinical guidelines and quality improvement initiatives
• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in brain injury medicine

Requirements

• Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Neurology, or a related field
• Board certification or eligibility in Brain Injury Medicine
• Experience in hospital or government healthcare environments
• Strong clinical and multidisciplinary collaboration skills
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered, professional care
