Consultant Cardiac Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with cardiac diseases requiring surgical intervention
• Conduct a wide range of cardiac surgical procedures including coronary artery bypass grafting and valve repair/replacement
• Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff to ensure integrated patient care
• Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative patient care and counseling
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with government health regulations
• Participate in training and mentoring junior staff and medical trainees
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital protocols

Requirements

• Proven expertise in performing complex cardiac surgical procedures
• Strong knowledge of government healthcare policies and surgical best practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in teaching or mentoring junior medical staff is an advantage
