Consultant - Investment Readiness and Capital Mobilization

Responsibilities

• Review agribusiness models and develop an inception report with methodology and implementation workplan
• Assess commercial viability and develop investor-ready business cases and financial models
• Prepare professional investment materials for commercial investors, impact investors, and DFIs
• Design and deliver training on investment readiness, financial management, and deal negotiation
• Identify and engage relevant investors and capital providers to facilitate outreach and negotiations
• Support the mobilization of USD 500,000 in private-sector investment
• Track and document investment pipelines and commitments

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
• Professional certification such as CFA, ACCA, or FMVA
• 8–10 years of experience in investment advisory or transaction structuring
• Proven track record of mobilizing private sector capital
• Experience with inclusive financing mechanisms like working capital, guarantees, or insurance
• Experience working with agribusinesses or agricultural value chains
• Experience in Zambia, Malawi, or East and Southern African markets
• Strong financial modelling and business plan appraisal skills
