Job description
Responsibilities
- Support the coordination and implementation of the SIDS Lighthouses Initiative priority areas
- Lead electrification workplan activities including smart electrification strategies and green shore power documentation
- Facilitate engagement with Pacific SIDS, regional stakeholders, and potential SIDS LHI partners
- Support research, data collection, and the development of knowledge products and publications
- Represent IRENA at national and regional events and high-level meetings like COP
Requirements
- Master's degree in energy systems, renewable energy, or related field
- At least 9 years of experience in energy transition projects within the Pacific region
- Expert-level technical expertise in renewable energy, electrification, and energy efficiency
