Responsibilities

• Act as the main point-of-contact for multiple clients
• Manage workflow and coordination among team members including Accounting Managers and Staff Accountants
• Lead recurring client check-in calls regarding status and operational needs
• Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP in Xero
• Drive month-end close processes and maintain investment information
• Prepare quarterly financial statements including partners’ capital allocations
• Utilize proprietary databases for investor correspondence and fund activity updates
• Prepare audit materials and manage year-end financial statement audits and tax work

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the alternative asset industry
• In-depth understanding of US GAAP and partnership accounting including complex allocation waterfalls
• Experience in a client-facing role leading engagements for multiple clients
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Xero or QuickBooks
• Proficiency with Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, and Slack

Preferred Qualifications

• Venture Capital and/or Private Equity experience
• External auditor experience
• CPA certification
• MBA
