Job description

Responsibilities

  • Conserve business by assisting customers with policy maintenance and explaining the importance of coverage
  • Answer questions regarding coverage, premiums, and other policy information
  • Make outbound calls to existing policyholders to collect delinquent premium payments
  • Resell the benefits of policies and provide excellent customer service
  • Compose business letters and communicate effectively through written and verbal channels
  • Record policyholder information for reporting and transactional purposes
  • Work independently and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain discretion and tact when providing service to customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a call center environment
  • Previous insurance and/or sales experience
  • Knowledge of life and/or health insurance terminology
  • Bilingual (Spanish) skills
