Job description
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day construction and infrastructure deployment activities during data center builds
- Coordinate the installation of power, cooling, cabling, racks, and containment systems
- Interpret and implement detailed design drawings, installation guidelines, and technical specifications
- Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with design intent, industry standards, and safety protocols
- Support factory and site acceptance testing (FAT/SAT), commissioning, and handover to operations
- Track build progress, document changes, and escalate risks to project stakeholders
- Collaborate with design engineers to resolve field changes and provide feedback for future improvements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in mission-critical environments, preferably in data center construction
- Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and structured cabling systems
- Familiarity with data center standards such as Uptime Institute, TIA-942, or ASHRAE
- Proficiency in construction documentation and scheduling tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera)
- Willingness to travel 50-75%
