Data Model & Semantics Architect

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and structuring of global enterprise data models to transform complex business processes into clear, reusable information structures.
• Maintain and evolve the Enterprise Data Model and Data Domain Map for the organization.
• Define concepts, taxonomies, and semantic standards to ensure consistent data understanding across the company.
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to align information structures with business strategy.
• Partner with data engineering and solution architecture teams to implement models within Google Cloud and Power BI environments.
• Drive best practices in data modeling, information architecture, and data governance.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data catalogs and metadata management systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience as an Information Architect, Data Architect, or in a similar senior role.
• Proven expertise in conceptual and logical data modeling at an enterprise level.
• Strong experience in semantic modeling, taxonomies, ontologies, and business glossaries.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud environments (specifically BigQuery) and Power BI.
• Fluent communication skills in both English and Spanish, as you will work within an international team.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable data models.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within large organizations undergoing digital transformation.
• Knowledge of AI/ML initiatives and how information architecture enables these technologies.
• Familiarity with data catalog tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Atlan.
