Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Build predictive and prescriptive ML models for pharmacy cost and risk, including feature engineering and explainability analysis
• Develop member-level risk and comorbidity scoring and map drug identifiers to clinical conditions
• Apply AI/NLP to analyze unstructured member and clinical text using sentiment analysis and topic modeling
• Use LLMs and AI tooling to automate clinical policy and documentation workflows
• Design and maintain probabilistic matching logic for member identity resolution across fragmented data sources
• Produce clinical and pharmacy analytics such as medication adherence and persistence
• Build analytical tools and prototypes using lightweight front ends like Streamlit
• Collaborate with clinical, reporting, and engineering teams to translate requirements into analytical specifications

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative field (data science, statistics, computer science, applied math) or equivalent experience
• 2–3 years of experience using Python and SQL for data analysis, machine learning, and NLP
• Demonstrated experience building and validating ML models and feature engineering
• Experience with NLP techniques and applying AI/LLM tooling to real workflows
• Experience with entity resolution and probabilistic record matching
• Familiarity with healthcare, PBM, or claims-data experience
• Knowledge of pharmacy data concepts (NDC, GPI, ATC, formulary tiers)
• Experience building analytical front ends or dashboards (e.g., Streamlit, BI tools)
• Willingness and ability to travel 10%-20%
