Director, Accounting

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process, including timelines, journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting packages
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, controls, and chart of accounts governance
• Oversee AP, procurement, vendor management, cash management, and treasury operations
• Manage bank access, fraud prevention, and accounting control processes
• Lead external audit coordination and oversee tax and compliance processes
• Own and improve accounting systems, integrations, and workflows
• Drive automation and AI adoption to improve efficiency and scalability
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Payroll, and Revenue Finance
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting team members

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and balance sheet management
• Experience managing accounting operations in a fast-paced, scaling organization
• Experience with ERP systems; Sage Intacct experience preferred
• Experience leading audits and managing external tax/accounting advisors
• Familiarity with sales and use tax and compliance workflows
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets proficiency
• Strong analytical, project management, and process improvement skills
• Experience managing and developing team members
