Director, Learning Experience Design Math

Responsibilities

• Champion product taste by setting high benchmarks for efficacy, creativity, usability, and engagement in mathematics
• Translate pedagogical vision into instructional artifacts including scopes, sequences, and prototypes
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Creative Services to design solutions based on teacher and student feedback
• Coach and support a team of Learning Experience Designers in creating gamified and teacher-directed content
• Establish frameworks for formative research and leverage learning science to improve resources
• Manage capacity planning, project budgets, and external vendors
• Optimize workflows for multi-format content creation, including the use of AI tools

Requirements

• 8+ years in learning experience design or educational content development
• 3+ years leading or managing teams in a fast-paced product development environment
• 3+ years of K-12 classroom teaching experience
• Proven track record of launching interactive digital learning experiences
• Experience using data and analytics to guide product iterations
• Deep knowledge of national/state academic standards and the K-12 landscape
• Experience designing specifically for digital platforms
• Leadership experience within an EdTech company or educational publishing house
