Director, Learning Experience Design Science

Responsibilities

• Champion pedagogical vision and product taste for the science portfolio
• Lead a team of Learning Experience Designers to develop instructional artifacts like scopes, sequences, and prototypes
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Creative Services to design solutions based on user feedback
• Coach team members in creating high-quality content for learning resources
• Establish frameworks for formative research and leverage learning science to prove product efficacy
• Manage capacity planning, project budgets, and external vendors
• Optimize workflows for multi-format content creation, including the use of AI tools

Requirements

• 8+ years in learning experience design or educational content development
• 3+ years leading or managing teams in a fast-paced product environment
• 3+ years of K-12 classroom teaching experience
• Proven track record of launching interactive digital learning experiences
• Experience using data and analytics to guide product iterations
• Deep knowledge of national/state academic standards and the K-12 landscape
• Experience designing specifically for digital platforms
• Leadership experience within an EdTech company or educational publishing house
