Director of Project Operations (Drilling)

Responsibilities

• Build a drilling organization capable of executing professional construction operations
• Ensure adherence to safety programs, regulatory compliance, and engineering guidance
• Develop playbooks for procurement, maintenance, licensing, and equipment deployment
• Design and roll out processes for scalable operational efficiency
• Oversee project P&Ls for high-quality, cost-effective drilling projects
• Collaborate with Engineering teams to deploy novel tools and analyze operational data
• Synthesize stakeholder feedback to drive technology iteration

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics/Business, or a related discipline
• 10+ years of experience leading high-performance teams in drilling operations
• Experience as a project owner with P&L oversight and client relationship management
• Proven ability to initiate and communicate new processes
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills in complex environments
• Proficiency with project management software and Office Suite
• Ability to travel 25% to 50%+ depending on project needs
