Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, earthing, and lightning protection
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks
• Conduct electrical calculations including load analysis, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop, and cable sizing
• Ensure compliance with DEWA, ADDC, UAE Fire Code, and other authority requirements
• Coordinate with MEP, architectural, and infrastructure disciplines during design phases
• Support tender documentation and technical specifications
• Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure design integrity and execution

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
• 4+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the UAE
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical design software
• Familiarity with DEWA, ADDC, and UAE regulatory standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar
• Knowledge of embedded systems, control systems, and power distribution
