Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Handle the complete circuit design process including component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout
• Test and validate all electrical components and systems to ensure quality, reliability, and performance, including thermal testing
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with the software engineering team to ensure seamless integration with umbrelOS
• Lead initial prototyping stages to troubleshoot, iterate, and refine designs
• Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to facilitate the transition from prototyping to mass production
• Document the design process and provide technical support throughout the product lifecycle
• Identify and implement improvements in electrical design and system efficiency

Requirements

• Deep experience in design, development, and testing of hardware systems
• Specialized focus on motherboards, PCBs, and circuitry
