Engineer, Project Development

Responsibilities

• Produce development engineering deliverables including conceptual site layouts, single-line diagrams, and permitting packages
• Review engineering documents for quality, code compliance, and consistency with design standards
• Research AHJ and utility requirements to inform design approaches
• Track status of permit applications and approval milestones across project portfolios
• Maintain pipeline reporting and provide regular status updates on deliverable progress
• Coordinate with Site Development, Grid Integration, and external partners to ensure project requirements are met

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience
• Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SketchUp, or Google Earth
• Knowledge of NEC, local building codes, and standard electrical distribution requirements
• Experience with utility, renewable energy, or high-voltage engineering preferred
• EIT or progress toward a Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
• Experience with Salesforce, Sitetracker, or similar project management platforms
