Job description

Responsibilities

  • Manage a small product team of 3-5 engineers, balancing management duties with active participation in product development.
  • Act as the spokesperson for your team, managing dynamics and providing continuous coaching and career guidance.
  • Lead hiring and onboarding processes for new engineers within your team.
  • Redesign engineering workflows by implementing autonomous agents as the default execution layer.
  • Propose and operationalize end-to-end agentic workflows (spec, plan, execute, verify) to accelerate delivery.
  • Build reusable agentic primitives and implement verification loops to ensure scalable and secure results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 people.
  • Extensive backend experience with Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming.
  • Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with a track record of shipping secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
  • High level of AI fluency and demonstrated automation capabilities.
  • Ability to think in systems, define clear specifications, and instrument quality verification.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a people-first approach.
