Job description
Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison between operational stakeholders and the Information Systems Department
- Support the ongoing operations, optimization, and enhancement of assigned Epic applications
- Analyze business processes, workflows, and system requirements to identify improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with operational leaders, end users, and technical resources to develop solutions
- Participate in requirements gathering, workflow analysis, system design, testing, and implementation
- Evaluate the impact of Epic system changes on existing workflows and downstream processes
- Assist with troubleshooting application and workflow issues
- Support testing activities including planning, execution, validation, and documentation
- Maintain documentation related to requirements, workflows, system changes, and testing
- Support Epic upgrades, enhancements, and implementations
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of IT work experience; OR 3 years of healthcare business analysis experience; OR High school diploma/GED and 9 years of IT experience
- Epic certification in Prelude, Cadence, Grand Central, or Referrals
- Experience working with healthcare information systems and operational stakeholders
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to translate operational requirements into technology solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Community Connect Epic Patient Access build
- Experience supporting Epic Patient Access workflows within a hospital or health system
- Experience with multiple Epic Patient Access applications
- Experience with Epic implementations, optimization, or upgrades
