Externship Advisor, Career Services

Responsibilities

• Assist students and graduates in securing employment aligned with their field of study
• Provide individualized guidance on interview techniques and professional readiness
• Build and maintain relationships with employers and hiring managers to generate job leads
• Engage with externship and practicum sites to facilitate required documentation
• Develop and execute plans to achieve placement goals and meet performance metrics
• Ensure all activities comply with institutional, federal, and accreditor standards

Requirements

• Experience in education, career services, employment staffing, or related fields
• Knowledge of various application processes and expectations
• Experience overcoming graduate or customer obstacles
• Strong organization, communication, and time management skills
• Ability to communicate fluently in verbal and written English

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of the Career Service Advisor role
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams
• Strong influence and complex problem-solving abilities
