Finance Accountant

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily cash balances across all entities
• Perform bank matching and Xero reconciliations
• Manage payment setups including AP, contractor, and affiliate payments
• Oversee virtual credit card management and entity coding
• Prepare senior lender certificates and maintain master bank reconciliations
• Manage multi-entity intercompany allocation models
• Prepare and post journal entries for accruals, prepaids, and revenue reclasses
• Conduct variance analysis and software subscription expense analysis
• Handle quarterly GST preparation and filing
• Support annual audits and quarterly consolidations
• Implement AI-assisted workflows and automations to improve finance operations

Requirements

• 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in SaaS or multi-entity environments
• Strong understanding of IFRS and accrual-basis accounting
• Proficiency with Xero or similar cloud accounting platforms
• Ability to meet deadlines during compressed month-end close windows
• AI-first mindset with a focus on automation
• High attention to detail and self-motivation
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CPA candidate, or equivalent accounting designation
• Experience with payroll processing or commissions
• Knowledge of a second language
