Finance Operations Associate and Finance Operations Lead

Responsibilities

• Manage finance inbox, process invoices, and troubleshoot finance-related questions
• Support accounts payable processes and vendor management
• Review staff expenses for accuracy and policy compliance
• Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Onboard contractors and improve onboarding processes
• Maintain accurate documentation of finance processes and policies
• Execute special projects including tools implementation, international entity build-out, and internal controls strengthening
• Assist with audit and tax compliance and payroll/benefits administration

Requirements

• Extremely organized and detail-oriented
• Proficient in Google Sheets with advanced functions
• Strong written communication skills
• 3-4 years of finance or accounting experience (for Associate level)
• 5-7 years of finance or accounting experience with ownership of period-end close or audits (for Lead level)
• Ability to overlap with US hours for at least three hours of a 9am-6pm PT workday

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent credential
• Experience with multi-entity accounting or international consolidation
• Experience implementing or migrating finance/accounting systems (ERP, payroll, etc.)
• Experience with U.S. nonprofit tax compliance and IRS accountable plan rules
• Experience in treasury operations or managing internal control frameworks
