Financial Due Diligence Lead

About the Company

Teamshares is a tech-enabled acquiror of high-quality businesses, intending to be a permanent home for businesses. Part holdco, part fintech, Teamshares programmatically acquires companies with $0.5 to $5 million of EBITDA from retiring owners, integrates them with the Teamshares platform, and helps employees earn company stock.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute financial due diligence reviews for potential acquisitions, conducting analysis of financial statements, accounting practices, and tax positions
• Develop sophisticated financial analyses and pro forma financial models including income statements, balance sheets, and free cash flows
• Perform detailed quality-of-revenue and quality-of-earnings analysis, including normalization adjustments
• Analyze working capital requirements, cash conversion cycles, and capital expenditure needs
• Lead financial accounting and tax due diligence workstreams, including GAAP compliance and contingent liabilities
• Prepare comprehensive due diligence reports and present findings to the investment committee and leadership
• Collaborate with technology teams to translate diligence learnings into software improvements

Requirements

• 4+ years of financial due diligence and buy-side transaction experience
• 2-3 years specifically in financial due diligence roles (accounting advisory, private equity, or transaction advisory)
• Expertise in financial accounting, tax accounting, and business valuation
• Proven experience with quality-of-earnings analysis and working capital assessments
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA, CA, or CFA certification
• Experience working for a premier or Big 4 accounting firm
