Freelance Translator

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality translation and localization services within the Marketing and IT sectors
• Perform linguistic reviews and quality assurance (QA) on translated content
• Manage terminology consistency through the use of translation memories (TMs), glossaries, and style guides
• Execute transcreation and documentation tasks to ensure cultural relevance

Requirements

• Native proficiency in the target language
• Degree in Applied Linguistics, Translation, or equivalent professional experience
• Proficiency with SDL Studio and other CAT tools
• Specialization in Marketing or IT translation and proofreading
• Excellent written and spoken English skills
• Strong familiarity with US American culture and pop culture for effective localization
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Availability for at least 4 hours per day with quick response times
