Front-End Web Engineer

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to client support tickets, triage bugs, and clarify UI/UX requirements
• Work across concurrent client projects, switching contexts to resolve support requests and push feature updates
• Develop and maintain complex WordPress themes and custom Gutenberg blocks using React, modern CSS, and JavaScript
• Debug cross-browser issues, improve responsive design and accessibility on legacy systems
• Maintain and enhance front-end integration of product offerings like ElasticPress.io and SiteWatch

Requirements

• Strong experience with modern CSS, JavaScript, React, and Gutenberg block development
• Solid foundational understanding of PHP within WordPress architectures
• Proven ability to debug UI glitches, resolve CSS/JS conflicts, and optimize legacy theme codebases
• Excellent written communication and empathy for client interactions
• Ability to manage high-volume ticketing queues and switch contexts across multiple projects daily
• Commitment to accessibility standards and emerging front-end technologies
