Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and build full-stack features spanning React frontends, Python/FastAPI backends, and supporting data models
• Develop and maintain data models and transformation pipelines using tools like dbt
• Design and implement REST APIs serving clinical data and decision support content
• Implement API contracts, versioning, and authentication patterns like OAuth/OIDC
• Build responsive, accessible React user interfaces
• Design and implement comprehensive testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
• Use AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery
• Define and measure success metrics and KPIs to drive iterative improvements
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the full stack from UI bugs to data pipeline problems
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical documentation

Requirements

• 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong React proficiency with modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Strong Python skills with experience building REST APIs (FastAPI, Flask, or Django)
• Experience implementing OAuth 2.0 / OIDC authentication patterns
• Experience designing data models and writing SQL
• Proven experience with testing frameworks and QA best practices
• Experience using AI coding assistants (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dbt and medallion architecture
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards like FHIR or HL7
• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, AWS, or Snowflake
• Knowledge of observability tools like DataDog or CloudWatch
• Experience in regulated industries handling HIPAA or PHI/PII data
• Familiarity with containerization and Docker
