Job description

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize and flesh out game ideas based on specific themes or market trends
  • Create, maintain, and evolve the Game Design Document (GDD) to serve as the source of truth
  • Design core gameplay loops, meta-gameplay systems, and mechanics
  • Balance gameplay difficulty and fine-tune the in-game economy
  • Translate creative visions into actionable technical specifications for programmers and artists
  • Oversee the development process from initial prototype through to post-launch analysis

Requirements

  • 1.5+ years of experience in a Game Designer role specifically within the mobile games sector
  • Proven experience in Game Design Document (GDD) creation
  • Strong understanding of gameplay loops and meta-gameplay design
  • Experience with in-game economy and balance management
  • Ability to write clear technical specifications
  • High gaming intuition and ability to stay on top of industry trends
  • Strong communication skills to explain complex systems to technical and non-technical team members
