GenAI Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of Generative AI solutions (LLM-based chatbots, summarisation, co-pilots) for enterprise clients in the UAE (Dubai & Abu Dhabi).
• Build and own end-to-end LLM production pipelines: model training, optimization, deployment, monitoring and versioning.
• Implement model optimization & steering (fine-tuning, LoRA/PEFT, RLHF) and apply prompt engineering best practices.
• Architect and operate high-performance RAG systems: embeddings lifecycle, vector DBs, context-aware retrieval and caching.
• Write production-quality code in Python and TypeScript; build REST APIs and modular services.
• Implement LLMOps/MLOps using Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD across major cloud providers (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Integrate data grounding pipelines (Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Postgres) to keep models fresh and auditable.
• Embed governance, safety and bias-mitigation controls, and perform model evaluation and auditability.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3–7 years experience in AI/ML with 1–3 years hands-on production GenAI/LLM work.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade GenAI tools in agile environments.
• BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Data Science or related technical degree.
• Experience with ChromaDB, Pinecone, Weaviate or FAISS for retrieval and embeddings.
• Familiarity with Vertex AI, SageMaker or equivalent managed ML platforms.
• Experience working with enterprise clients, preferably in financial services or banking.
• Strong focus on responsible AI: hallucination control, privacy, and bias mitigation.
