Responsibilities

  • Lead and evolve the global Indigenous and Community Leadership in Conservation (ICLC) strategy
  • Drive integration of ICLC across conservation, climate, and policy programs
  • Embed Indigenous and community leadership into core programmatic strategies and governance
  • Manage a global, multi-disciplinary, and geographically dispersed team of approximately 6 staff
  • Serve as a primary global spokesperson for Indigenous and community-led conservation
  • Build and sustain partnerships with Indigenous leaders, NGOs, multilaterals, and funders
  • Advance global fundraising and donor engagement strategies
  • Collaborate across various TNC functions including Science, Policy, and Impact Finance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 7 years of leadership experience in conservation, non-profit, or advocacy
  • Majority of experience gained outside the U.S., specifically in the Global South
  • Proven management experience leading global multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience working within or alongside global matrixed organizations
  • Fluency in written and verbal English
  • Executive decision-making abilities and strategic mindset

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in conservation, advocacy, or Indigenous governance
  • Deep professional or lived expertise in Indigenous rights and equitable conservation
  • Proven success in fundraising and budget management
  • Experience influencing organizational strategy and large-scale systems
  • Ability to work effectively in a decentralized, geographically dispersed organization
