Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Develop designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, and project models as per geotechnical engineering requirements, under supervision.
  • Assist with design content, applying technical knowledge for high-quality outputs within project timelines.
  • Perform work aligned with agreed budget and schedule.
  • Use computer software for fundamental engineering problems and analysis.
  • Coordinate with other discipline engineers to maintain design process continuity.
  • Participate in design progress and coordination meetings.
  • Seek opportunities to contribute, develop efficiencies, and enhance effectiveness.
  • Solve problems by applying theoretical knowledge or experience to atypical assignments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Geological Engineering, Foundation Engineering, or Soil/Rock/Mining Engineering) from an accredited university.
  • GPA of 2.8+ (or equivalent).
  • Recent graduate (2024 or 2025).
  • UAE National with valid family book (Emiratisation requirement).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Interest or exposure to:
    • Geotechnical Investigations
    • Assessment of Geotechnical Parameters
    • Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
    • Preparation of ground models for various designs
    • Shallow and Deep Foundation Design
    • Earthworks and Slope/Seismic Design
    • Geophysical Survey
    • Geotechnics of dam design
  • Familiarity with analysis software (Slope/W, Slide, Seep/W, Plaxis, RS2/3, Sigma/W, FLAC, Repute, Group, LPile, PDisp, Settle 3D)
  • Motivated for both office-based design and hands-on site experience
