Healthcare Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of predictive, statistical, and machine learning models
• Analyze pharmacy and medical claims data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
• Assist with AI roadmap initiatives
• Prepare, clean, transform, and validate healthcare data sets
• Develop clean, reusable, and testable analytical code
• Collaborate with clinicians, analysts, and product teams to deliver actionable insights
• Document analytical methods, assumptions, and model logic
• Communicate findings through written summaries, presentations, and dashboards

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or healthcare informatics
• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
• Experience working with healthcare data, pharmacy/PBM data, or medical claims
• Working knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation
• Proficiency with Python or R for statistical modeling and machine learning
• Foundational understanding of statistics, predictive modeling, and supervised/unsupervised learning
• Ability to translate business questions into analytical approaches
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Ability for up to 10% travel

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to healthcare cost, utilization, or drug management analytics
• Experience with time-series forecasting, anomaly detection, or natural language processing
• Familiarity with data privacy, data governance, and HIPAA considerations
• Experience supporting dashboards and reporting automation
