HSE Lead, Global Programs and Systems

About the Company

KoBold builds AI models for mineral exploration and deploys those models—alongside our novel sensors—to guide decisions on KoBold-owned-and-operated exploration programs. KoBold has become both the largest independent mineral exploration company and the largest exploration technology developer.

Responsibilities

• Own the KoBold HSE Management System end to end, including architecture, document hierarchy, and continuous improvement aligned to ISO 45001
• Manage the digital HSE stack, including vendor evaluation, workflow configuration, and administration
• Design HSE analytics including leading and lagging indicators and real-time dashboards
• Own the AI in HSE strategy to identify high-leverage applications for risk assessment and inspections
• Manage the global document library for all HSE standards, programs, and operating procedures
• Own the global training strategy and the Learning Management System
• Design cultural initiatives to engage field crews and contractors
• Partner with regional HSE Managers and Field Operations leaders
• Support HSE for field campaigns with intermittent global travel

Requirements

• 5+ years in HSE with experience administering enterprise HSE software (e.g., DATS, Intelex, Cority)
• Experience building or improving HSE management systems aligned to ISO 45001 or ANSI Z10
• Track record designing HSE training programs and administering an LMS
• Ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and regulatory regimes
• Strong written communication skills
• Ability to lead through influence across regional operations and executive stakeholders
• Proficiency with SharePoint, Confluence, and Google Workspace
• Ability to travel to remote exploration sites and pass medical fitness screening

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in mining, exploration, oil and gas, or construction
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, CSP, CIH, ASP, or NEBOSH Diploma
• Experience using AI or LLM tooling for HSE workflows
• BI and analytics experience (Power BI, Tableau, or SQL)
• Multi-country experience, especially in Africa or emerging markets
• Familiarity with low code or scripting tools like Retool, Airtable, or Python
