Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage end-to-end indirect tax (VAT) compliance and filings for multiple entities across the GCC (UAE, KSA, Oman, Bahrain).
  • Own the UAE e-invoicing project lifecycle and monitor ongoing KSA ZATCA e-invoicing compliance and technical mappings.
  • Oversee the UAE B2B2C transition: import VAT controls, P&L splits, and inter-group contract alignment.
  • Act as primary technical contact for tax authorities, external advisors, and internal stakeholders on marketplace VAT rules.
  • Manage the Deemed Supplier regime: monitor seller VAT registrations and validate B2C invoice records for marketplace liability.
  • Control source data from ERP and reporting systems to ensure accurate statutory reporting and invoicing compliance across business models.
  • Partner with Tech, Finance, Legal and commercial teams on business expansion projects, contract reviews, and supplier onboarding.
  • Provide day-to-day advisory on complex matters such as warehouse operations, customs, marketing compliance, and COD incidents.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Extensive GCC indirect tax experience with a focus on e-commerce/marketplace
  • Proven track record managing large tax technology projects and ERP integrations
  • Experience responding to tax authority audits and enforcement actions
  • Strong technical ability to translate legislation into operational controls
