Job description
Responsibilities
- Support strategic planning for infectious disease surveillance systems
- Conduct landscape analysis of surveillance systems and health information architecture
- Design or optimize indicator- and event-based surveillance, outbreak detection, or response systems
- Assist governments in integrating AI or advanced analytics into health system decision-making
- Develop technical reports, presentations, and operational frameworks
- Facilitate capacity building and workshops in English and/or French-speaking settings
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in infectious disease surveillance systems
- Fluency in English
- Strong client-facing communication and facilitation skills
- Ability to work independently in dynamic, multicultural environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher in Public Health, Epidemiology, or a related field
- Professional proficiency in French
- Experience working with or advising Ministries of Health
- Prior experience with international donors such as the Global Fund, Gates Foundation, USAID, WHO, or KfW
- Knowledge of digital health tools such as DHIS2, malaria dashboards, or AI-supported surveillance platforms
- Experience living or working in or with Francophone countries
