Iran Monitoring Analyst

Responsibilities

• Provide monitoring and analysis of Iranian media narratives and propaganda aimed at global audiences
• Prepare briefings of key news, commentary, narratives and trends in Iranian media to be delivered three times per week
• Carry out targeted monitoring of the coverage of specific narratives, news or themes as requested by the customer
• Communicate with government personnel and respond to ad-hoc requests
• Ensure accuracy, organization, and efficiency of workflows and administrative processes
• Utilize office tools and systems including email, spreadsheets, and document management systems

Requirements

• Ability to write fluently and concisely in English
• Strong background in international relations, media, Iranian affairs, or related fields
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and standard office systems
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Thorough knowledge of the structure and functioning of Iranian propaganda

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting the DoD or federal missions in the CENTCOM area of responsibility
• Proficiency in Farsi
• Experience working for government entities
