Java Architect

Responsibilities

• Identify performance improvement opportunities within the Java code base, prototype alternatives, and assist in implementing proven solutions
• Create design documents for Java code that is currently written in IBM Assembler
• Review code for thread safe, code quality, and security violations
• Analyze and improve Spring Batch throughput

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience developing applications in Java
• US Citizenship required
• Active IRS MBI Clearance and current GFE
• Hands-on experience with Spring Batch and Spring Boot
• Experience with object-oriented and aspect-oriented design and development
• Experience with Json and Annotation
• Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
• Java Full Stack Development experience
• Experience working on Agile teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience running Java under Unix Systems Services
