About the Company

The European Payments Initiative (EPI) is building a new, proudly European payment system through Wero, a digital wallet that makes sending and receiving money simple, seamless, and secure across Europe. Supported by 16 major banks and the two largest European acquirers, EPI aims to empower European financial sovereignty.

Responsibilities

  • Offer legal advice on a wide range of issues in several markets
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements and support business operations
  • Participate in multiple legal projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and effective delivery
  • Work closely with the Legal team and other departments to ensure delivery of the EPI Roadmap
  • Innovate and strive for continuous improvement in legal processes and the overall payments landscape

Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in private practice or in-house legal roles
  • Master's degree in Law from a European university
  • Fluent in English (C1 level minimum)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an international environment
  • Proficiency in additional EU languages
  • First experience in a regulated environment such as payments or financial services
