Lead Sales Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, qualification and solutioning for strategic opportunities
• Own the technical relationship with customers and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales cycle
• Map customer business priorities and technical requirements to Equinix solutions
• Hold architecture-level discussions on network design, interconnection strategy and application environments
• Design end-to-end solutions spanning data center, interconnection, cloud and hybrid infrastructure
• Lead customer meetings, technical workshops, and executive-level discussions
• Support complex RFIs, RFPs, quoting, and technical documentation
• Influence internal stakeholders across sales, operations, and customer success
• Mentor other Sales Engineers and contribute to best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering discipline
• Proven experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or solutions engineering
• Experience in data center, cloud, networking, or telecommunications environments
• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, interconnection, and hybrid cloud architectures
• Ability to discuss network and application architecture in a consultative way
• Proven success leading complex customer engagements
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills
