Medical Director, Gulf

Responsibilities

• Provide medical and scientific leadership to the regional and country leadership teams to shape and execute strategy
• Lead the affiliate as a member of the Affiliate Management Team and provide medical input into cross-functional strategies
• Develop and lead the execution of the local medical strategy and manage medical budgets and resources
• Recruit, manage, develop, and retain high-quality medical and scientific talent
• Lead local evidence generation strategies, including Real World Evidence (RWE) and Investigator Sponsored Studies
• Develop and execute local scientific communication and engagement strategies to build Amgen's reputation
• Act as a senior medical representative to lead interactions with key external stakeholders and medical advocacy

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) degree
• Minimum of 8 years of medical affairs experience
• Broad and formal leadership experience
• Deep knowledge of pharmaceutical product development, lifecycle, and commercialization processes
• Experience in budget and resource management
• Strong understanding of clinical trials, compliance, safety, and regulatory environments
• Ability to translate global context into effective local strategy
