Medical Scribe

Responsibilities

• Document patient encounters including medical histories, physical examinations, diagnoses, and treatment plans
• Manage and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) in real-time
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff for seamless care
• Review and edit patient charts for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling and correspondence

Requirements

• Excellent typing and transcription skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficiency with EHR systems and general computer literacy
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
• High-speed internet (15 Mbps primary, 10 Mbps backup)
• Specific hardware requirements including i5/i3 processor, 8GB RAM, webcam, and noise-canceling headset
• Quiet, dedicated home office space

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Certified Medical Scribe Specialist (CMSS) certification
• HIPAA certification
