Microsoft Security Coach

Responsibilities

• Lead recurring customer security coaching sessions, including tactical reviews and executive-level discussions
• Translate technical findings into clear, business-focused recommendations and roadmaps
• Review threats, incidents, posture trends, and Microsoft security telemetry
• Partner with MDR/SecOps and Customer Success teams to align customer priorities
• Provide guidance on Microsoft security capabilities including Defender XDR, Sentinel, Entra ID, and Purview
• Help customers navigate emerging AI security and governance considerations related to Microsoft Copilot
• Build and maintain customer-specific security roadmaps tied to licensing and risk priorities
• Monitor customer security issues and convert learnings into repeatable guidance

Requirements

• 8+ years of cybersecurity, cloud security, or managed security services experience
• Strong client-facing consulting and advisory skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft security products (Defender XDR, Sentinel, Entra ID, Purview)
• Understanding of security frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS Controls, PCI, or HIPAA
• Ability to translate complex security data into actionable recommendations for technical and executive audiences
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
• Ability to travel periodically (up to 15%)

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft security certifications (SC-100, AZ-500, etc.)
• Experience working alongside MDR, SOC, or SecOps teams
• Experience with Microsoft Copilot and AI governance initiatives
• Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
