Responsibilities

• Write and produce the daily Unbiased Updates newsletter
• Use news judgment to identify and prioritize relevant stories
• Edit weekly newsletters written by subject matter experts and reporters
• Partner with Audience, Marketing, and Content leaders to align strategy
• Develop strategies to increase open rates, click-through rates, and subscriber retention
• Build, schedule, and deploy newsletters through Braze
• Monitor newsletter performance and develop actionable recommendations based on data

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in newsletters, audience development, digital journalism, or content strategy
• Exceptional news judgment and understanding of the daily news cycle
• Experience working within Braze or similar email marketing platforms
• Strong understanding of newsletter testing methodologies and performance optimization
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-moving newsroom
• Availability to start early in the day (approximately 6 am ET)
